Administrative Staff

Ivonne Hernandez,  Principal

Mrs. Hernandez My name is Ivonne Hernandez.  It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve as Principal of Redwood Elementary School.  This will mark my 16th year at Richland School District having had the pleasure to serve as a 5th and 2nd grade teacher, Academic Coach, Technology, Data, and Assessment TOSA,  Assistant Principal and now Principal.  I graduated from CSU, Bakersfield with a BS in Business Administration and later returned to obtain my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I earned my Master of Arts in STEM-Education and my Administrative Services Credential from Fresno Pacific University.

It is my goal to work side by side with staff and families to provide the students at Redwood Elementary with the educational opportunities they deserve. My focus is to instill a love of learning in students, encourage them to be innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers, and inspired students who display kindness through their words and actions.  My motto is focused on helping students be better today than they were yesterday. In the words of Rita Pierson “Every child deserves a champion, an adult that will never give up on them”
